Why choose Addison on Amelia for your wedding event? The advantages of our intimate and charming inn over the typical hotel ballroom or country club run far beyond the lower cost. Our already beautiful setting needs little in the way of decorations to provide a picture perfect backdrop. A few floral touches in your wedding colors will provide enough visual impact to please any couple. The lush gardens, front porch swing, fountain and courtyard provide endless photo opportunities, and then there’s the historic Victorian house with an elegant parlor and beautiful staircase to add to the mix.

The Addison has 14 rooms, providing accommodation for up to 28 people. Your out-of-town guests can share the Addison as a home away from home. Socializing in the parlor, dining room or outdoor porches as well as individual rooms allows for intimate conversations for two or livelier gatherings for several. What better way for "new relatives" to get to know one another and for old friends and relatives to catch up with one another and share in the many adventures awaiting you on Amelia Island.

Whichever Package you choose, romantic enhancements to your wedding can be added. Horse and carriage rides, additional floral arrangements, chocolate covered strawberries and other treats are available upon request. We can even ask a local pirate couple to stand in as Best Man and Maid of Honor.

The bouquet that we provide is made of seasonal flowers approximately 6 inches in diameter with the stems wrapped in ribbon. Floral colors may be requested and will be provided if they are available. The boutonniere for the groom matches the bouquet. The cake is a chocolate or vanilla layer cake with raspberry filling and patterned icing with a lacey look. Additional flowers and more elaborate cakes can be provided at additional cost.

Elopements at the Addison are a relatively simple affair. Several wedding service samples are provided to choose from and they can be edited for use as the Bride and Groom wish. The Bride and Groom can complete their paperwork and get their license at the County Courthouse just two blocks away from the inn. The Innkeeper will perform the service in the courtyard at a time convenient to both the Bride and Groom and the Innkeeper.

The Elopement Package includes the officiant and the ceremony in either our beautiful courtyard or in the front parlor of our lovely Victorian era home. The Package also includes a small bouquet for the bride and a bottle of champagne for a toast after the ceremony. A one-night minimum stay at the Addison is requested and this package is $150 added to the room cost.

The Intimate Wedding Package is perfect for those of you who have a few close friends or family who would like to attend your wedding. This Package includes an officiant and the ceremony in either our courtyard or in the front parlor along with use of the courtyard or parlor for up to one hour. The Package also includes a bridal bouquet, a boutonniere for the groom, an 8" decorated wedding cake and two bottles of champagne for toasting after the ceremony.

A minimum one-night stay at the Addison by the Bride and Groom is requested. This package adds $350 to the room cost.

The Small Wedding Package is for those of you who would like to invite up to twelve friends and family to join them for the ceremony. This Package includes an officiant and the ceremony in either our courtyard or in the front parlor along with use of the courtyard or parlor for up to one and a half hours. The Package also includes a bridal bouquet, a boutonniere for the groom, a 12 inch diameter cake and three bottles of champagne for toasting the Bride and Groom after the ceremony.

A minimum one-night stay at the Addison by the Bride and Groom is requested. This package adds $500 to the room cost.

The Addison's courtyard and the surrounding galleries can comfortably accommodate up to 70 people for a stand-up wedding service. We do request that the wedding party book the entire inn, all 14 guest rooms, maximum 28 people, for two nights. That gives an entire day in which you can decorate, officiate and celebrate the wedding as you wish. We strongly suggest that you preview the property in person prior to reserving the inn.

The Addison's courtyard has space for a stand-up reception for up to 70 people. We can provide full catering services including appetizers, heavy hors d'oeuvres and beer/wine service for your guests. If you prefer a sit-down dinner we can recommend one of the local restaurants, within easy walking distance, that can be reserved for your reception and dining needs.

The Addison Wedding Package includes:

• The 14 guest rooms (28 people) for two nights
• Full breakfast served each morning
• Full use of the courtyard, front parlor and dining room for a day
• Assistance with planning your wedding
• A wedding rehearsal reception for the wedding group who are staying at the inn. Typically held between 5 and 6 PM on the evening before the wedding, the reception includes beer, wine and appetizers.

The cost of the Addison Wedding Package is $7900. A deposit of $3200 is required. Cancellations outside of 30 days of the event will have the deposit, less a $200 cancellation fee, refunded. Cancellations within 30 days of the event will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Enhancements to the Addison Wedding Package can be arranged for additional cost. These enhancements can include a catered reception, beer and wine service, additional floral arrangements and horse-drawn carriage tours.
