The Labor Day weekend is full of music and fun. The weekend starts off with Sounds on Center, a free street concert held Friday evening. The SunSplash series of reggae concerts is on the beach all day Saturday. On Sunday we are going to enhance our regular Happy Hour with a Labor Day cookout, just like the cookouts in your neighborhood except you don't have to provide any labor! Bob will be grilling his hand-made hamburgers and there will be side salads and a big pot of Bob's chili to go with them.

This fall season you can fall in love with the Addison and harvest some great savings. The fall weather is perfect on Amelia Island. The evenings are cool and the days are still warm enough to enjoy miles of pristine beaches. You won’t see any leaves changing color but the Island is full of festivals, fun and good food .

First-time guests to the Addison will receive 10% off of a two or three night stay and 20% off of visits of four nights or longer. Returning guests who have stayed with us since we re-opened the inn on January 15, 2008 save even more with a discount of 15% off of two or three night stays and 25% off of visits of four nights or longer.

What is there to do while you are here on Amelia Island? The fall is time for the Jazz Festival (Oct 1-10), the Amelia Cruizers Car Show on October 16th, the Petanque America Open on November 13th and the Amelia Island B&B Holiday Cookie Tour on November 20th. The Christmas season starts off with the Holiday Historic Home Tour on December 3rd and the Land and Sea Christmas Parades on December 11th. Regularly scheduled events such as the Farmer’s Market every Saturday, Artrageous Artwalk on the second Saturday and the Encampments at Fort Clinch are also waiting for you.

The Amelia Island Jazz Festival presents world-class jazz in many styles, including swing, bebop, Dixieland, big band, Latin, and contemporary. During the week-long festival, held October 1st through the 10th, music is performed by jazz greats as well as fresh, up-and-coming young talent.

Your Jazz Weekend at the Addison package includes a pair of General Admission tickets to either the Friday night (October 8th) or Saturday night (October 9th) headliner concerts. The Friday night concert features Steve March Torme and the Saturday night concert features the Ramsey Lewis Trio. Both concerts include a pre-concert warm-up show and an after-concert wrap-up with various bands. The package also includes a horse-drawn carriage tour through the Historic District (the horse’s name is “All That Jazz!) and a $60 restaurant gift card to either Espana, Joe’s 2nd Street Bistro or 29 South.

Your Jazz Weekend package includes a full breakfast every morning, Happy Hour with complimentary beer, wine, sodas and appetizers in the afternoon along with full use of all of the inn’s amenities. 3-night packages start at $875.

His influences exhibit a southern bias with his love of the cuisine of New Orleans and Charleston. For this holiday meal he reaches back to his childhood to bring you this "Traditional English Christmas Dinner" featuring roasted standing rib roast served with natural jus and creamed horseradish, roasted potatoes, roasted parsnips, winter root vegetable mash au gratin, Brussel sprouts with pancetta and thyme, honey glazed carrots and sweet English peas. The meal will be finished with a dessert choice of either traditional Christmas pudding or sherry trifle.
